In 2016 the winners of the team "Pyramid Hunters" from Poland have been at CERN to conduct their proposed experiment at one of CERN's beam lines.
Pyramid Hunters are seven students from Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Marsz. St. Małachowskiego, the oldest school in Poland. Their project involved measuring the muon absorption of limestone to help understand data from a muon tomography of the Chephren pyramid from many years ago.
At CERN they gathered a lot of data during their amazing experience. Since then they have further worked on the analysis and wrote a scientific paper about their results and their experience at CERN. Now their effort paid off and they can be proud of their first publication even before university. Their article was now published in IOP Science. Congratulations from the BL4S team!
